The General Contractor has begun selective interior demolition at 239 Franklin. Basement level partitions, fixtures, and equipment were removed for salvage and disposal.
The original boiler that provided heat for the Cottage was removed. It will be replaced after the house is relocated by a modern forced air heating and air conditioning unit. In addition to being more efficient, the new unit will better protect the restored elements of the Cottage from the damage of upper-Midwest weather extremes.
