Glencoe’s vibrant business district has different monikers depending on when you moved to the village.
Spend a Sunday afternoon with us as we trace the development of the business district,
from its 1890s beginnings as the home of blacksmith shops and liveries
to 2025’s plethora of restaurants, niche boutiques and interesting governmental buildings.
We’ll look at the history of the area, its architecture
and reveal why our Village President today refers to this area as Uptown.

The 90 minute tour will begin and end at the Glencoe Historical Society, 377 Park Avenue.
Bring your curiosity and camera!
We’ll look at the business district as you have never seen it before!
